Serious men don’t eat red Popsicles.

Brett Hunter’s life isn’t unicorns and rainbows, and it sure isn’t sparkles. He’s a businessman, a disciplined man, a money man, and if he ever believed in magic, it was a long time ago. He’s not a hero, and he doesn't play one on TV. Oh, and he really doesn't like the water.

What’s he doing, then, on an Australian beach in a custom-made Italian suit, up to his waist in the waves and helping a red-haired mermaid save the day?

No matter how crazy his life gets, not being in control isn’t an option, and neither is veering from his path or falling for mermaids. Also, serious men don’t eat red Popsicles.

Loved Brett and Willow’s story. It was full of so much adventure: sharks, dolphins, hot air balloon, accidents, food poisoning, broken bones, scheming mistresses, a chef and a billionaire. What more could you want? Never a dull moment. And to top it all off the best romance ever. Also props to Emma Wilder as narrator. I’m an avid listener to all of Rosalind James’ books and Ms Wilder is my absolute fave. Spot on!!! Lol I loved it so much I’m ready to listen again.

The best yet!

Well that would be my favourite in this series so far.
Excitement and drama in the first first few pages and a story to keep us guessing throughout the book.
Ms James’s usual steam between her lead characters and her ability to make you feel like you’ve travelled to the destinations in her books. I loved Dave the driver, really hope he gets his own story. Loved the footy references as well
Spoiler
Heads up though, Dave’s footy team didn’t win the Grand final.
Ms James is an automatic purchase for me.
I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion, this opinion is my own and I was not compensated in any way.

Would be a sin not to listen to this book

My original review for the story follows, but first, my review of the narration: Emma Wilder does a great job narrating the audiobook. I enjoy her ability to create the characters with unique voices. She is superb at switching from an American accent to New Zealand and back again. Such a treat to listen to.

I really like this series, a lot! I enjoyed Guilty as Sin and Tempting as Sin, but I could not imagine Sexy as Sin. Brett Hunter just did not seem like a real hero when we met him, but in this book he seems better than a hero. He is a hero with foibles, fears, and sometimes just plain bad luck. He is so much more than I expected. And Willow, well she is independent, adventurous, and definitely her own person, yet not. Brett and Willow have differences, lots of them, but they compliment each other well. And Author Rosalind James can sure tell a good story. I give this one five stars. The characters are well-developed, the emotions are plentiful, and the locations are special. I am looking forward to more!
