Betrayed from within, Terra Nova fights its most desperate battle for survival.

The gripping fourth installment of Richard Fox's Terran Expeditionary Corps series, Shadows Fall, plunges listeners into a high-stakes battle for humanity's survival on the distant colony of Terra Nova. As the Terran Expeditionary Corps faces a cunning new enemy, secrets unravel, and loyalties are tested in a war that could reshape the galaxy.

When an elderly hermit, Knight, witnesses Chief Carson in an impossible feat—fully recovered from captivity and conspiring with a mysterious Yamnaya alien—he uncovers a conspiracy that threatens Terra Nova's fragile peace. Pursued through the unforgiving wilderness by a relentless alien hunter, Knight's desperate flight sets off a chain of events that draws Governor Ken Hale, Armor soldier Ely Hale, and Ambassador Danny Standish into a web of deception and betrayal.

As the colony grapples with internal sabotage and the looming shadow of the Inheritors, Ely must navigate his fractured past and the weight of his family's legacy to protect a powerful alien artifact that could tip the balance of power. Meanwhile, Danny confronts her own demons, striving to forge peace in a world teetering on the edge of war. With the Yamnaya's true intentions revealed and an alien flotilla closing in, the Terran and Ibarran forces must unite for a daring counterstrike that could either save humanity or doom it forever.

Packed with pulse-pounding action, intricate world-building, and richly drawn characters, Shadows Fall delivers the epic military sci-fi thrills fans of The Ember War saga crave. Perfect for listeners who love A Hymn Before Battle by John Ringo or The Forever War by Joe Haldeman, this explosive adventure will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Join the fight for Terra Nova and dive into the next chapter of the Terran Expeditionary Corps!

The story rolls on and as ever, the dark residue of history's great villains continues to carve a bloody path across the stars. But the sons of Adam are in the fight and Faith is power!

Another outstanding entry of the Emberverse saga!

I’ve really enjoyed Richard Fox’s Ember War Saga and the expanded universe, but I’ve noticed the newer audiobooks are much shorter than the originals. Early entries often ran 12+ hours, while the more recent ones come in around 6–8 hours. The action and pacing are still strong, but it sometimes feels like the story gets cut off just as it’s finding its momentum. I’d love to see longer, more fleshed out installments again especially since this universe has so much depth and potential. Shorter books work fine for binge listening, but the epics like The Ember War had a weight that made them stand out.

Can’t wait for next book
