An otherworlder in the body of a dragon must employ all her cunning to play a dangerous political game in the third book of this charming isekai series.

Months after awakening in a new world—and body—Draka finds herself nearly settled and, dare she say it, happy. Her human life feeling more and more like a distant memory, now's the time to embrace her draconic side by growing her hoard, flexing her wings, and exploring the limits of her magic. Unfortunately, her peaceful contentment is destined to be far shorter lived than she might've hoped.

Draka's found family is close to fulfilling their dreams of owning property and claiming a family name, Tam and Val having returned from their journey with a fortune. But standing between them and their happily-ever-after is a slew of challenges: from the prejudices of their new class to the workings of the local leaders to the machinations of the mysterious criminal known as the Night Blossom who held Draka, Herald, and Mak captive scant months ago.

Now, if Draka wants to keep those she loves safe, she'll have to employ everything she's learned as both a human on Earth and a dragon in Karakan as well as embrace uncanny new powers of the mind. Or else her nearest and dearest might lose everything they've ever desired....

this is an awesome addition to the series. as the other review listed, there are some weird cuts and issues with the audio that I have noticed a few other books on audible have had recently making me think it's an issue with audible more than likely and their upload/file storage.

The book itself is an excellent addition to the series. around this time many other series struggle with what content they can give but this author so far knows that defeating or overcoming the big bad then adding another big bad makes for boring content.

These books sprinkle in many different encounters and issues the mc can work through. Some never come into the books again and some are real issues. It results in books that feel more organic and flowing rather than a 'what is the mcs next big challenge they can clear' with the mc just chasing levels or power increases.

I hope the author keeps up the good work and has more interesting things in the stories. The one thing I would like to see is some kind or romantic angle as well as many of these monster fantasy stories seem to completely ignore anything like that for some reason.

awesome addition
