Rocky lives on a compound with his father, and they're sufficient enough to be largely shielded from the societal collapse going on around them as a result of The Heat, a biological weapon causing hyper-arousal in every person it infects.

He meets Zaylee, and it's love at first sight. After a couple dates, he asks her to come live with him, and she's beyond thankful to finally have safety from the storm. Soon after, they invite her best friend Skylar to live with them, as she's also in danger from the chaos.

The Heat mostly affects women, but when Rocky starts feeling ill, it's obvious he's contracted the virus. He can't control his desires, and feels impossibly attracted to both of them, to the point where it hurts and short circuits his mind. The girls make a decision, they're going to put all hands on deck, as it's the only way they can help him through The Heat.
