I thought I was late for my cousin’s wedding,
but the wedding turned out to be for me...
If I’d known the sexy arrogant guy in the elevator was my future husband,
I probably would have turned and ran.
My own father sold me out, promising my hand in marriage to Alexei Koslov,
a sexy, arrogant bratva boss.
The last thing I want to do is get married,
but nobody says no to the Koslov bratva.
My father’s been controlling me for years,
I won’t take it from my husband too.
I want to hate Alexei and all he stands for,
but the more I get to know him, the harder I fall.
But this marriage is just business for him.
I’m a means to an end.
Until I fall pregnant…
Alexei
It's supposed to be a business transaction,
A marriage in exchange for intel on an enemy.
I expect my wife to obey me, to follow orders.
Instead, I get a firecracker who is determined to make this arrangement as difficult as possible.
I have no interest in falling in love with Bianca,
But before I know it, she's all I can think about.
Suddenly I'm doubting everything I thought I knew about myself…

🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 spice
🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 5/5 narration
I just finished Sinful Oath by Kira Cole and Callie Stevens. The premise immediately drew me in, and I absolutely loved Alexei and Bianca as characters. However, I didn’t feel like we truly saw their relationship, or their individual growth, fully develop on the page.
One challenge I’ve noticed with co‑written books is that they can sometimes feel disjointed, and this one definitely did for me. Chapters often felt like they were written by two very different voices, which disrupted the flow and made some sections feel like filler. Because of that, the story and character arcs never felt fully realized, even though the foundation was really strong.
That said, I still enjoyed the read overall. The audio, in particular, was fantastic, the narration brought the characters to life in a way the ebook didn’t quite capture. I’ll definitely continue the series in hopes of seeing deeper character and relationship development.
As for the spice, I thought it was written well and blended naturally with the story. The scenes were shorter than I prefer, but they felt purposeful rather than added just for heat, which I appreciated.
My two main frustrations were Alexei’s constant hot-and-cold behavior and Bianca’s tendency to ignore the very warnings she agreed to follow. Their communication issues lasted right up to the end of the book, which made their dynamic feel repetitive and a bit exasperating.
Overall, Sinful Oath had great potential and moments I really enjoyed, but I’m hoping the next book delivers more consistent character and relationship development.

The story was kind of predictable, but well told, in spite of some repetitive dialogue.

If you are going to set a story in the States, please stop using “British”. Just set it in London or Sydney or some other major city in the current or former British Empire. In the U. S. we are not keen or cheeky, we do not tuck in to a meal, queue at an entry, or tell time by fortnights. However, we may be eager, interested or smart assed, we will eat a meal, line up at an entry and get back to you in a couple of weeks.
