In Sparkling Cyanide, Agatha Christie seats six—including a murderer—around a dining table set for seven, one year to the day that a beautiful heiress was poisoned in that very room.

Six people sit down to a sumptuous meal at a table laid for seven. In front of the empty place is a sprig of rosemary—""rosemary for remembrance."" A strange sentiment considering no one is likely to forget the night, exactly a year ago, that Rosemary Barton died at exactly the same table, her beautiful face unrecognizable, convulsed with pain and horror.

But then Rosemary had always been memorable—she had the ability to arouse strong passions in most people she met. In one case, strong enough to kill. . . .

Absolutely loved this book! Christie’s writing and story telling are just phenomenal. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! She always has such dynamic characters, and this story has just exactly that. And don’t get me started on Hugh Fraser’s performance! I don’t have words for how amazing it is!! Makes me want to listen to all the Christie works he’s done instead of read them! Overall a great book and outstanding performance!

Loved This!

Hugh Fraser is exceptional! He’s able to portray every character so distinctly, I almost forget he is alone in narrating.

A bit of a twist in the end, characters were fun!

Hugh Fraser has once again delivered a wonderful performance! I much prefer his interpretation of Colonel Race to David Suchet's.
