The Federation races to discover the culprits of several terrorist attacks, sending their flagship, the USS Prometheus, to stop war breaking out in the galaxy.

The situation in the Lembatta Cluster is deteriorating rapidly. Fleets from the Federation and Klingon Empire are heading for the borders. The crews of the USS Prometheus and IKS Bortas are racing against time to break the cycle of violence that is spreading through the Alpha Quadrant.

Adams and Kromm are on the trail of a secret weapons facility but instead discover an enemy from their pasts who seems utterly unstoppable. Together, they search for the answers to their questions before the galaxy goes down in flames.

This is a really fun listen in classic star trek tradition. I really enjoyed the series.

classic star trek

I sadly grabbed this and started on Book 3 but it was not hard to jump in there. It was a well crafted story and well narrated. I suppose I wouldn't write much at all but one thing grated on my nerves. The narrator being from the UK would naturally pronounce many words not in the American style. No problem. However, it bothered me that the director or producer did not provide the artist with accepted pronunciations of Trek works. Species names, Trek techno-jargon. Character names. He was not briefed on how to say words like Raktajino or even the proper way to say Kieko O'Brien. This is not the author or actors issue. I think the producer dropped the ball here and it really pulled me out of my Trek groove as I enjoyed the rest of the experience.

Over all a good Trek Story

For the most part an improvement over the first two in the series, but the climax as oddly dissatisfying. I think it was because of the climax of the Red Sun issue. How do you confront the challenge, pass out, then wake up and its all over??? What happened in between?

Slightly anti-climatic

The narrator murdered every pronunciation he possibly could. Was there any consultation? Story was ok. Lost me a few times.

Ok story.

While the story was great and the narrator is good, you can tell he isn’t a Star Trek fan. He kept mispronouncing Star Trek words incorrectly which took me out of the story each time.

Unfortunate narrator
