A SciFi Thriller that won't let go

My mistake was starting this at night. It took a real effort of will to pause when I did because I had to sleep. Once you start this roller coaster, you won't want to get off. Great setup for a series. I hope Andrew writes the sequel!

This is the best original scifi I've read in years. The science is very believable and doesn't bog down the story. Dan Dixon is an everyman you route for from the beginning. This is a self contained story that really enjoyed. The ending was thin but everything was wrapped up, and I actually didn't guess the ending before it happened. Thanks for surprising me Andrew!

If you want a great hard SF thriller that you can't put down and demands a sequel, I recommend this book.

Awesome Book and Awesome Narrator

Both the book and the narrator are super amazing! I haven't laughed so much while reading a book in a long time. I even found myself going back just to listen to what I had laughed at so I could keep laughing. Kyle McCarley is absolutely great at getting across the protagnanist's dry and sarcastic wit. Not many writers, in my opinion, are able to write funny sarcasm in books. Mayne excels at it!

More of a James Bond Story than Sci-Fi

This story is non-stop from the beginning. The main character is an astronaut who gets sucked into espionage and becomes a wanted man without even knowing what is going on. However, he is able to keep ahead of both the police and the bad guys who either want what he has or want him dead. Highly recommended for anyone who can accept a hero who beats incredible odds while just barely staying alive.

Entertaining & fun, if you can stand sarcasm!!

This is a fast moving, fun story of a crazy, mad space adventure. The book could be a 5, but author needs to tone down the sarcasm! Honestly, it seems there is a snarky comment every three minutes for 10+ hours. The narrator never seems serious, even in serious situations. I don't think he was a good choice. Lastly, this book ends in the middle of an important "event" in the story, leaving readers without an ending. I may read the second one, but would appreciate a stand alone book with some kind of an end after listening for over ten hours! I felt a little cheated.

Starts out a little slow but definitely makes up !

A really good and interesting story, and there were not any far out fantasy.... unbelievable parts in it. a very entertaining as well as a written book. i'm ready and anxious to start reading his follow up book that I purchased 30 minutes ago !
