Georgia Williams had traveled a hard road from being a sheltered preacher's daughter to becoming a struggling single mother. Determined to build a more secure future for her baby girl, she takes a job as a night nurse at Jericho Military Hospital. But her precarious world shifts yet again when she meets her newest patient.

A marine who nearly died fighting for his country, Lieutenant Christian Howard is a man of duty, honor, and deep desires. Something about the scarred war hero touches Georgia, awakening feelings she's tried to keep hidden. One passionate night together changes everything, erupting with consequences neither of them could have foreseen. Now Georgia faces the most momentous decision of her life. Should she trust Christian - a man she barely knows - with devastating secrets from her past? Could this be a love that will heal and save them both?

This book was better than the first book, in my opinion. Maybe because the dynamic between the heroine and her father is so similar to mine. What happened between them in the end brought me to tears.

I also enjoyed so much the relationship between the main characters. It was refreshing not to have so much turmoil between two people you want together. I hope I haven't said too much there.

I love the narrator's voice; the only thing that is a drawback is that she doesn't differentiate voices enough and you have to use context to figure out who is talking at the moment. But her voice is soothing and matches the tone of the book very well.

Overall, this book was an awesome "read!"

Tears. What a novel!

This was a good story. Her resilience and her focus on her daughter helped her immensely. The connection and eventual love for Christian was just what she needed.

The narrator is the only one thing that I would change. She doesn't always convey the emotions needed when telling a story.

More than just forgiveness.

The story starts a little slow but soon gets very interesting. I appreciated that the author didn’t give the characters unnecessary drama. There was just enough conflict threaded with real life to make it a great read. I wish the narrator had a southern accent for the female main character. It would have helped distinguish the two main characters better.

Great read

For Georgia life has become hard. Life sends her a blessing but not in your face blessing. She finds that life has a different route of her to take. Christian finds that his life has changed and he is not sure if its for the better. One day he finds that he gets an angel. And then latter finds that his angel needs a blessing. He will be her blessing and the rest will come later.

Georgia and Christian finds working together maybe a little more difficult when they dont communicate with each other.

Jamie Pope brought a story of life, tragedy, hope, and love.
