Turns out, there's more to the killings than meets the eye. Apparently, it isn't just cars that sometimes come to life. Impossible as it seems, my ride appears to have bloodthirsty tendencies.

But is it evil or trying to right a wrong? I'd better figure it out—and soon—or I might be its next victim.

Not the best...

... But not the worst either. I was so looking forward to this story since it sounded amazing, but I struggled to finish it. The characters didn't really have chemistry with each other and it was tough going for a minute, despite how well it was performed. Overall, it was just okay

Wonderful Story

A great new direction but the same great story telling. I greatly enjoyed the new story. It had humor, suspense, drama and a well rounded fully fleshed out story.

Loved it!

This story is a classic Ms. Langlais style. Enticing plot, sexy alphas and a twist at the end. Ms. Vaughn's narration was spot on and easy for me to understand. (I am hard of hearing.) It was an enjoyable performance.

It got better

The first hour especially was too much about a bitter, 47 year old divorcee complaining about her marriage, disdaining kids, and bragging about getting to drop F bombs (like a newbie 18 year old finally out of the house). Then there’s awkward over sharing about her period and grooming habits (seriously, the blood fixation was just gross). Also, there’s a barfing, farting dog. All of these things made it impossible to feel anything remotely sexy or romantic.

On the other hand, especially in the second half, this worked a lot better for me as urban fantasy horror-lite. The murder mystery was mildly entertaining and I enjoyed guessing about the paranormal angles.
