"Armstong is up there with the big girls of the genre like Laurell K. Hamilton..."--Kansas City Star

It was in Bitten, Kelley Armstrong's debut novel, that thirty-year-old Elena Michaels came to terms with her feral appetites and claimed the proud identity of a beautiful, successful woman--and the only living female werewolf. In Stolen, on a mission for her own elite pack, she is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who has funded a bogus scientific investigation of the "other races" and their supernatural powers. Kidnapped and studied in his underground lab deep in the Maine woods, these paranormals--witches, vampires, shamans, werewolves--are then released and hunted to the death in a real-world video game. But when Winsloe captures Elena, he finally meets his match.©2004 Kelley Armstrong; (P)2009 Penguin

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

This might be my favorite book in this series. I have listened to it at least 3 times and It gets better each time. I love that we get more of Elena, Clay & Jeremy but also so much more. In this book we are introduces to witches, demons, shaman, vampires, etc. I loved all the action in this book and surprisingly the magic which is odd cause I normally do not like witches or magic in books at all. This book is my one exception. I love how graphic the author is, even if it's a little gory sometimes but it really puts you into the story. The introduction of Paige, Adam & Savannah is a big deal for the series. I'm so excited to spend the next couple weeks with these characters again!

The narrator on this book was good but it's hard to not have a hard time with a narrator change since now all the character voices are different.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would get a new narrator!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nell Canning?

Anyone, but most likely the reader of the first book.

Could you see Stolen being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Don't know, the reader was so bad it was hard to get into the story.

Narrator Sucks!!

I enjoyed the story but I enjoyed the narrator from the first book better. I thought that the first book had a better vocal and accent.

I love the characters, the plots, the humor.
if they write the tv show with humor the same the books are written with humor. they have.a hit. otherwise it's just another wolf show that will lose its edge after a couple of years.

Excellent Series
