The New York Times bestselling author of the Driven series turns up the heat when a sexy bet turns into so much more....

Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.

Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage....

I sadly haven't had a chance to listen to all the books in the amazing Driven series but this book has made me think again and perhaps I'll go back and download the rest and have a K. Bromberg fest. Because this book had everything I love..... a hot Rocker, a feisty Heroine, a great plot that I just didn't want to stop listening to and the narration was excellent.

Underneath Hawkin's drool worthy, sexy, tattooed and confident Lead Singer persona he was emotionally scarred by his past (sorry no spoilers) which made him incapable on loving or feeling too deeply for women. He was a fantastic loyal friend to his fellow Band members, was always covering up for his twin brother Hunter's screw-ups and was a tortured son because of the past. You couldn't help but like him because of all that he was dealing with and what he had emotionally gone through but when he saw Quinlan sparks flew igniting a passionate affair. Nevertheless however sexy, feisty, understanding and altogether compatible with him in every way Quinlan was Hawkin couldn't and wouldn't allow himself to feel more but, as much as he fought it, her support, compassion, friendship and growing feelings drew him in and he finally found himself opening up and believing in the impossible. But he made a crazy stupid sexual bet with one of his Band mates about a threesome involving Quinlan and you knew that this bet was going to come back to bite him in the ass when Quinlan found out and it was just going to be a question of when and where the shit was eventually going to hit the fan.

Worth a credit? It was a really emotional and touching story, it had plenty of drama and angst, was very romantic, annoying, frustrating, had some great sizzling sex scenes and some heartbreaking ones too. Dual POV's. I loved loved loved every well written Chapter.... so creditworthy? well that would be a HELL YEAH.

I really enjoyed this story!

I enjoyed the pop in of Rylee and Colton!!

Seeing Quinlan stand up to her brother was fun too! They have a great sibling dynamic.

Hawk had some struggles to work through and seeing him evolve through the story was really wonderful!

The female narrator is a good performer but I don’t care for her voice.

The Male narrator on this was a perfect fit for Hawkin! He just nailed the feel of the character

Good Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes!
Sweet Ache is a fantastic read. The characters are well developed and extremely likable. I was completely engaged the entire read and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I adore K's writing style. The tempo is fast paced with just enough angst to keep you on the edge of your seat. I would love to give you more on the plot (and how it unfolds) but I think this read is best to discover on your own. I was so pleased to see Colton and Rylee make an appearance in this read. If you are looking for a steamy read with a lot of heart, look no further. As for future Bromberg reads, I will be anxiously waiting for more.

Loved Hawkin & Quinlins Story. Kristy did an amazing job showing the emotion and love in each character. She.made the story come to life. Left us wanting more but not wondering what happened. As with all the driven novels she ties pieces and people together. love that she tied several amazing authors/groups/characters into the story.

absolutely awesome
