Rescuing one small child turns into saving six from a dark and uncertain fate, and although Sam doesn’t understand the world he’s been forced into, he would never turn his back on children in need, even if it means confronting his past with Vaughn.

As Vaughn and Sam join forces to protect the children put into their care, the future they’ve both dreamed of is within their reach, but first they need to survive the sinister force looking to rip away everything they’ve come to hold dear.

So lovely

This is the beginning of the chosen one universe and it does a wonderful job getting it going.

Sam and Vaughn work well together even if Vaughn was not likeable in the beginning. The kids were adorable.

The narration was awesome and truly deserves five stars.

The saga begins

OMG! I just finished listening to Sweet Nothings and it was just wonderful! I had read The Chosen One books several years ago and loved them and the audio did not disappoint. The narrator's smooth voice captured the story so well. The story itself in audio form surrounded me and I could FEEL the words as the story unfolded. I love Macy Blake and this was just amazing. The introduction prequel to The Chosen One set the stage for what is to come. This is a definite must listen! I'm off to the next audio now to immerse myself in another world and I can't wait!

Loved it!

This was the first book I have read from Macy and I absolutely fell in love with it. Sam is so fierce and accepts the paranormal world directly.

I adore all the kids but Ollie has a special place in my heart.

This author was new to me, found by my occasional searches on my favorite narrator of all time, Michael Dean, née Pauley, who worked his magic on this series. Through Ms. Blake's beautiful crafting of this fantastical story, the narrator took me to outloud laughter, and to weeping with joy, as the saga continued...

IF you're ready to leave reality behind -- something I found difficult but very therapeutic to do -- and embrace a sweet & unapologetically sexy "family" story, then kickback and enjoy. You will not be disappointed!
