Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wouldn't recommend this book or listen to a friend unless they were looking for a drawn out, disappointing story with a frustrating ending. What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I was excited to listen to a book read by its author. I thought it would be an accurate portrayal of the author's intent (obviously). So when I listened and heard a boring, non feeling and less than appealing reader reading a very predictable book, that was frustrating at times, I was more than dissapointed. Maybe the story would have been better if read by an actress that could have manufactured feeling and emotion. But I never fell in love with the character or pulled for her because the reading was flat and emotionless. I felt frustrated, thinking the whole time that I wish someone else was reading it. That heavily distracted me from the book itself.Do you think Sweethearts needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Nope.Read by author
