So so good!!!

Just finished the audiobook of this and let me tell you I love Samantha Brentmoor more and more with every book I listen to. This was my first time listening to Jacklyn Kelso and I thoroughly enjoyed her! Who also doesn’t love some extra narration by JF Harding and Teddy Hamilton?!?!

This is a fast spaced spicy FF story. I love the way the two came back together after all those years. They needed the time apart to grow and figure out who they were as individuals. But I think it took coming back together to really find themselves.

Overall Thoughts: Whenever I finish an audiobook by Mila, I have a million thoughts spinning out of control trying to process everything I just listened to. I don’t know how she manages to squeeze that amount of everything into her books, but especially this one which was only 2.5 hours long. I blew through it, and was elated with the ending, but disappointed it was over. Sapphic novels are a subgenre I was unknowingly obsessed with, and this one takes the cake. Piper and Kaye’s relationship is one that is relatable, heartbreaking, and tumultuous while evolving into something that makes you want to cheer for these characters. Sam is always amazing, but the way she was able to exude the emotion bottled up in Kaye was epic. Jaclyn is a long-time favorite who I need more of on the reg, and her performance as Piper was incredible. A must listen for all Mila fans.

Kaye does not have a happy homelife. Her alcoholic father finds ways to take his anger out on her whenever he wants. Even though Kaye has found an escape with Larkin, it isn’t an epic love story so much as they have a mutually beneficial relationship that doesn’t rock the boat.

Piper is dealing with having a secret crush on her twin brother’s girl. She has known she has been gay for a while but living in a house with overly religious parents who are determined to have her conform to their beliefs makes her more determined than ever to live life on her terms.

Jump forward a couple of years and Piper is the manager for Gutless Void who has a new opening act, Lifeless Lies, and the lead singer just happens to be none other than Piper. When they are thrust back in each other’s orbit, they try to hurt the other for things in their past, but the magnetism between these two is something they can’t ignore. Can they let the past go, so they can have a future they thought was lost a long time ago?

Now, as her past resurfaces, she must decide whether to let her insecurities dictate her actions or to embrace her best life!

Such an immersive listen!

I had the pleasure of listening to this on audio and when I say do the audio I mean do the audio! Jacquelyn Kelso and Samantha Brentmoor absolutely killed this, the sound effects I literally felt like I was there experiencing the tension between Piper and Kaye in the same room.

I am so sucker for a good tension filled FF romance and this hit so hard. You have a secondchance after 10 years a part and they still can’t stay away from each other and showing glimpses into the past this was amazing. A quick an easy listen if you want to clean the house or hit them gym!

One of the BEST audiobooks

Mila Crawford’s audiobooks are always absolutely amazing! Always a insta-buy for me whenever I see a new one released. But, this one is just next level and one of the BEST audiobooks I listened to in a loooooong time.

I hate to be the one to say it but the smut in most sapphic books isn’ttttt always the best 🫣…not here tho, MY GOD not here. 🥵🥵🥵 Honestly, I just finished and I already want to read it again lol
