Shifter story with a twist

Cute story with suspense. The chemistry was believable. I felt the middle was slow and the end rushed. Only some things were resolved leaving room for the next books in the series. Good overall

Danger, excitement and swoony love

The mistrust. The machinations. The sexual tension. The anticipation. The coincidences. The undeniable draw. The growls. The feels. I loved it all. Devlin and Zoe’s fated mates, suspenseful romance grabbed me from the very first word and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end and then I still wanted more. The story will give you all the swoony swoons while also pulling at your heartstrings with all the emotions. Devlin is the immortal White Wolf, a lone wolf shifter who hunts and kills rogue wolves at the request of pack alphas. There are two other lone wolves in addition to him. Zoe is a graphic designer living in NYC. She has no family and lives a small but good life. They first meet when Devlin saves her from getting run over by a car. But when they keep running into each other it becomes apparent that there is something larger at play. While running and fighting for their lives and trying to solve the mystery of who is pulling the strings, there is a lot of past baggage for both of them to unpack to get to their HEA. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline as shown in sweet moments, steamy scenes, dangerous situations, evil actors, henchmen, fated mates, painful pasts, magic, pack dynamics, and laughs. I am excited to read more books in this series.

Julio Maxwell and Ramona Radcliff did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

A great story

I really enjoyed both the story and the narrators. I am looking forward to listen to the next one.

This is a very strange shifter book & I was very intrigued & pleasantly surprised!
So the story starts by giving us a little info on Devlin & what he is which was the lone wolf- specifically the “white wolf” which has white hair & similar color eyes. Normally there’s only 1 lone wolf that is either white,black,grey but 85yrs ago 3 teenagers turned into the lone wolf- Devlin being the white one. The lone wolf answers to no alpha/pack, no mate , they wonder the earth being the judge & executioner of rouge wolves. They are know not only by the color of their eyes & hair but also by the sickle tattoo it appears on their chest as a mark of being the lone wolf. So when Devlin meets & feels such a strong connection not only sexually but something much stronger that that he was really chocked. I really liked the story & I can’t wait to read book 2 & book 3 (when it comes out)
*** The Narrator was not that great (surprisingly) it felt robotic- I actually like it better w/out the narration***

Loved this book

The story is so good and just could not stop listening. The only feedback is the changes in voices on the main characters there were two different voices and that was confusing
