After he surmises that a woman and her young son may be next on the hit list, he and Banshee, his well-trained service dog, embark on a search for the killers to protect the innocent woman and child.

As he investigates, he realizes the threats of further violence stem from not only a local gang but also international terrorists. When Doc and Banshee interfere with their horrific plans, the killers set their sights on Doc. In a harrowing race for survival, Doc and the killers track each other down, while Doc helps a close friend navigate a complex, life-threatening medical emergency.

Terrible narration!

Absolutely hated narrator! Why would you change the narrator after the first four books?
This narrator was absolutely terrible! Please go back to original narrator or find a suitable new narrator! Also, why do you have a man narrate female voices?

New reader - AI?

I felt like I was listening to AI with the new reader. I went back and checked others and Patrick Lawlor was much better and made the books much more interesting. Pretty sad because I love these stories.

voices

this was last book in series I've listened to back to back. the change in narrator was not good. after listening to others it seemed really wrong. accents and certain rhythm to his voice did sound like it fit the professional of characters. Just really preferred the narrator of other books in series

Great plot line

Loved the story and the plot line. The medical scenarios are well done and more realistic than most. However, the reader made several jarring pronunciation errors, such as palpitate rather than palpate and canula as "can- noo-la" rather than "can-u-la". Would be happy to "proof listen" the next installment.

Usual enjoyable adventure

I looked forward to the release and of this addition to the series, however the narrator was really bad.
