interesting story.

the male narrator ruins the book! He makes Luna sound like a blubbering idiot. Stick with 1 narrator!

Great story

Love the ease of the way the story unfolded and performances was smooth and easy to absorb

Solid idea, meh delivery.

Great concept, disappointing execution. The female narrator was tough to get through, she spoke overly slow and over-pronounced everything, I had to put it on 1.7x speed just to feel normal. Also the characters felt wildly inconsistent. Luna’s sudden meekness at times severely contradicted other sides of her, and the dialogue becomes repetitive and overly cheesy. By the last quarter, I was more annoyed than invested. This book spells everything out instead of letting the reader connect the dots. Solid idea, meh delivery.

Not what I was hoping for

The MFC is whiny and ignorant for someone who is supposed to be a scholar, she is mouthy and refuses to follow instructions repeatedly. One would think she would learn after the first time not listening and almost getting killed, but oh no she does it over and over again.
There’s a difference between being courageous and being ignorant, the MFC is the latter.

Good world building but no spice in this love story

Enjoyable characters & storyline is interesting enough for a young adults demographic. I kept listening thinking there may be some saucy heat towards the end, but no. Definitely aimed towards an audience who like a PG novel. Looks like Booktok let me down here as I’m a high spice girly.
