Dalton Beauregard has a plan.

It involves acing all his exams, making the Dean's List every year he's at Lassiter College, and going to med school and becoming a doctor.

Marty O'Brien has a plan, too. His is to improve his life by emulating those around him. He's going to need a study plan, a tutor, and... a boyfriend?

Dalton can't believe he's even considering this. It's utterly ridiculous. Marty is an idiot, and there is no way he's going to help him learn how to be gay.

Or is there?

The Amazing Alpha Tau Self-Improvement Project is a lighthearted contemporary m/m romance containing banter, snark, and a dumb frat boy who may have accidentally had the smartest idea ever. Or something.

Includes a bonus story, "Romancing Dalton Beauregard."

Sweet, fun story with tons of humorous dialogue. Very enjoyable. Good, strong characters. Narration by Russo middling to good, although I sometimes think he's reading as though he were telling a bedtime story to a child. Still... I recommend this book, this series and most definitely these authors.
But, do yourself a favour and skip the bonus story at the end. It does absolutely nothing to enhance the story and is loaded with awful, cringy moments and situations. All of which are meant to be hilarious. None of which I found amusing in the least. In fact it sullies the impression that the authors spent an entire book trying to instill; this being that Marty was not as dumb as everyone thinks. In fact, it is said repeatedly how smart he actually is. Then comes the bonus and he acts Iike a total dunce. Not funny!

Entertaining.

Nick J Russo does the audio and just brings the beautiful chaos of this group to life. You can easily tell who is speaking when it's all the different boys' turns.

Bonus content: Romancing Dalton Beauregard
Let's just say Marty should not be in charge of planning romantic dates. If something can wrong, it does, and yeah, pure comedy genius.

Marty is just one of those characters you can't help but love and want to throtle at the same time. His chaotic energy just draws you in and holds on tight from your first interaction with him. Then you have Dalton, who needs Marty to bring fun into his life and be free for the first time. Together, they are so openly beautiful together and show don't judge a book by its cover and actually get to know the person you will find your perfect match. These Alpha Tau boys just have a way of digging in and owning you.

Marty is just Marty

As a fraternity guy that wasn’t able to be out in college, I love the idea of these stories. I loved the first one and might love this one even more because I “knew” these guys in college. The banter is hilarious and I physically laughed out loud while listening. And Nick J. Russo…swoon.

So fun

I loved it. Marty and his delightful chaos is just what Dalton needs.

Nick does an amazing job as usual. I love how he brings everyone to life.

Highly recommend. Although this can be listened to as a stand-alone, it’s best enjoyed in series order.
