Professor Elliot Brand was done with adventures.

When his former lover Ashra Shah calls him to Antarctica, he knows he is getting himself into trouble. Guarded by a military unit, hidden deeply in the uninhabitable parts of the frozen continent, a ruin was found that could be the most significant archeological find in history. Elliot Brand doesn't need long to understand that if they don't act fast, it might very well be the last one, too...

Blending real science with fiction, this book takes you on a journey into the times before mankind and its many mysteries. The third book of the Ancient Secrets Series is perfect for fans of A.G. Riddle, Michael Crichton, and James Rollins.

I’ve enjoyed this series but this story didn’t really grab my attention the way the first two books did. One of the things I noticed was that it ripped dialogue straight from the first Alien Versus Predator film from 2004. Probably the weakest writing I’ve seen from the author this entire series. However I do recommend the book for readers looking for something to read quickly

Fun but predictable

Find some old structure dating back some millions of years. Trigger some ancient mechanism that may actually wipe out humanity. And, of course, some idiot that loses his mind is in charge. Yep. Usual fare.

This book seemed promising. This is a beta male adventure driven while preaching about global warming, and the evils of capitalism and the evils of America. I gave it a chance after reading the first two in this series, not sure why other than I believe in second and third chances. The writing is good. The story has lots of potential, but both of those were mediocre due to the underlying theme of Russia’s intentions are good America’s evil and England is the most enlightened country of the world. This book did not deviate from that common theme throughout both of his previous works. He writes as if he’s a scientist, but how much of his data is incorrect that’s supposed to be real. One of the promos for this series was that this author blends real science into his writing. I found very little accurate science in all three books. There’s a lot of pseudoscience about global warming. Overall very disappointed in the story one of the main reasons I kept reading it was because of the narrator. Priestley is an excellent narrator, and his talents deserve to be with a better author.

America is the bad guy
