Drawing on a lifetime of pastoral experience, The Care of Souls is a beautifully written treasury of proven wisdom that pastors will find themselves turning to again and again. Harold Senkbeil helps remind pastors of the essential calling of the ministry: preaching and living out the word of God while orienting others in the same direction. He offers practical and fruitful advice—born out of his five decades as a pastor—that will benefit both new pastors and those with years in the pulpit.

In a time when many churches have lost sight of the real purpose of the church, The Care of Souls invites a new generation of pastors to form the godly habits and practical wisdom needed to minister to the hearts and souls of those committed to their care.

I wish this book was 10 chapters longer, his personal stories wrapped you in and made me sad that the book ended. The amount of pastoral experience and wisdom this author shares is incredible, I feel encouraged and inspired to continue my work.

The only critique I have about the audible version is the reader reads sooo sloooow. I had to listen at 1.75 speed for it to seem normal. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

Amazing book about Pastoral heart & theology

Wonderful and motivating book on the ministry. Some of his Lutheran stuff on pastoral absolution and the Lord’s Supper is different but otherwise really good!

Motivating
