Ajax Dartham, the Duke of Jarrell, has a problem. And that problem is his future niece-in-law.

When the clever and capable Lady Eleanor Vane—understandably—runs off into the night rather than marry his horrible nephew, the Duke has a choice.

Should he catch Eleanor and return her to her fate—or make Eleanor his own instead?

What drew me to this short story was the narration of Shane East and Evelyn Rose - they both delivered the story in perfection. It was a dance of seduction, intrigue and filled with sexual tension. I wanted more but after reading and listening to Salt Kiss, I just needed more from Simone Sierra….

Simone does what she does best - in regency

This was an amazing story. Sierra works magic with her historical romances. The emotions and connections were illustrated so well in such a short story. The performances were also engaging.

After having listened to the New Camelot series, which were quite spicy and enjoyable enough, I must say that The Chasing of Eleanore Vane surpassed all expectations for the following reasons: 1) The prose is much more elegant— I appreciated not being beaten over the head with sentences dumbed down to a 5th grade reading level. 2) The narration was really lovely— it wasn’t painful to listen to, unlike the unbearable Guy Locke. 3) The bedroom scenes were spicy without brutality— the very subtle power play was exciting and more was left to the imagination. I’d definitely recommend this, especially to anyone looking for something softer and sweeter.

Well read and well written
