Positive and humbling

These confessions are very much dated yet there's a timelessness to them due to human nature and the challenges that exists in the lives of every person. I connected with St Augustine on many of his points but I was not as moved by these musings as I had hoped to be, based on the recommendation of an author with whom I have tremendous respect.

I am moved by the posture of reverence and worship that he undertakes in his meditations - and also his vulnerability to plunge the depths of his depravity without God.

An important book in our spiritual inheritance. Praise God. Such an amazing translation. I highly recommend reading this book.

An Educational and edifying experience. this is not an easy book to read or listen to, but one that will enlarge our apprehension of historical Christianity and provide insight into the self analysis in the light of the revealed truth of the word of God. the insight and profundity of the author are stunning .
