Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ met face to face with people just like you. Broken, imperfect, sometimes fearful, and without hope. The Day I Met Jesus is a beautifully crafted narrative that chronicles the remarkable encounters of five women in the Gospels who were desperate to find wholeness, security, and purpose. Like all of us, these women struggled with the regrets of their pasts, the stresses of their presents, and the worries of their tomorrows.

Join Frank Viola and Mary DeMuth on a fascinating journey back in time as they retell the dramatic accounts of five women who met Jesus. Each narrative is told from each woman's unique perspective yet tightly grounded in the Gospel accounts and faithful to first-century history.

Elegantly written and profoundly stirring, this audiobook blends creative narrative with uncommon insight, spiritual depth, and practical application. If you are someone who seeks a renewal of hope, faith, and love, The Day I Met Jesus will make your Bible come to life and usher you into a fresh encounter with your Lord.

I enjoyed this interesting and touching fictional work about five women mentioned in the Bible. I plan to give one as a gift to my serious Christian sister in law. I think anyone with a desire for a touching, typically based set of stories that will inspire you and warm your heart would enjoy this book. I think the fictional part is masterfully done and although I'm certainly not a bible scholar I did not hear anything that contradicted the Bible as I know it and I found myself very touched by the tender heart of God as expressed through Jesus and his actions related to the five women Who stories were told in this book. I did not love the narrator and found her accent and voice to be a minor detraction from the book but I am very glad that I listened to this book.

I always appreciate the telling of history mixed with imagination. the "walking it out" sections were especially helpful.

It's hard to write a review for something that has touched you deeply, so deeply it has affected parts of you that don't really have words! That's what this book has done to me. Each story has something about it that bathes me in the gentle but powerful holy kindness of the historical Jesus.

it helps that the cultural background is described so vividly that we can see (at least a little) through the eyes of a first century Jew. Thanks for your excellent wordsmithing, and even more for writing from the heart!

Almost Beyond Words

The authors tell the stories well of five women from the Gospels and bring them to life. Both the dramatic stories themselves, and the telling of it in the audio version, were very well done as well as the teaching from the scripture. I recommend this to those who seek to learn more about Jesus and his grace as well as the impact of him on these five women.

I enjoyed listening to this book very much. To realize the special place these women found themselves in the heart of Jesus made me joyful and so hopeful that all women could see ourselves so loved even today.

Faith building!
