Narrator is perfect, stories are well developed and the characters are enviable. Worth the read!

Dead Cokd Mystery Series books 5-7

I’m hooked. Can’t stop listening, following the two detectives through all of their cases. Ready to buy the next series and become enthralled.

Good But Annoying

Books 5 & 6 have serious extremist religious storylines. Book 7 is based on extremist politics, most likely the urban myths surrounding the Clintons. Makes me wonder the political affiliation of the author. If you can get past that annoyance, the overall stories are is good - fast paced, usual sparring between Stone and Dehan,

The variety of the murder scenarios keep this series fresh

When the team is mostly limited to two detectives comma, it is a challenge to keep those two characters from becoming boring while they investigate. That is not the case here both of these detectives have great personalities and of course there’s the tension between them. I still have hope that that won’t be the case throughout this whole series. I do have one complaint. The word “ass” is used way too many times throughout these stories, particularly in these last three. Surely someone can lean against the desk without having it to be their ass that leans the desk. I think it may be the difference of being on the page versus being in my ear.
