Ciarán White can be summed up in two chilling words: obsessed psychopath.
His fixation? Me, Remi Dawson.
I would lock him up for his criminal history or just avoid him. But my new reality is that I’m no longer a detective, and I need his help. More specifically, I need the help of the Depraved Wolves MC.
I don’t think I’m asking for much, seeing as how I died for them.
A few months ago, I had a career, a partner I could trust, and a life that had meaning. I sacrificed it all to protect the Depraved Wolves. Now, I’m standing at the devil’s door, needing their help while also giving them one last warning of the danger heading their way.
Yet, the catch? Ciarán demands my complete surrender—mind, body, and soul. I’ve already endured the torment of one man for months. I refuse to succumb to another, even though the circumstances are different with Ciarán, who seeks something deeper from me instead of the pain and suffering I barely survived through. I will get the Depraved Wolves to help me, no matter the cost. Because despite the losses I’ve faced, there’s still one precious thing left to lose, and it means everything to me. This time, nothing will stand in my way—not even death… again.

This was a good short story. I REALLY enjoyed the non typical personality, looks, and demeanor of the FMC. It was a breath of freshness to not be reading the everyday “beautiful” woman. The spicy was spicing, and had me giggling. I loved the slight use of k*nk between the MMC and FMC. I agree the pacing towards the end was a little jarring and fast, I wish it could’ve been a little longer. I do feel since the series is unfinished maybe some questions will be answered in future crossovers.

The narration (no fault of the author) made listening to Irish accents unbearable but didn’t take too much away from the story. I still wanted to keep reading/listening to it. I may give book 2 a chance and sample it.

Good story but the AI narration sucked. Story was interesting enough for me to finish but if they had an actual narrator it would've been more captivating.

Great Story, Poor Narration

Never read or heard of this author, but this book was fantastic. I loved everything about it, from the MFC not being perfect to the MMC falling in love with her instantly, flaws and all. I'm planning on purchasing this book to support the author and encourage others who dislike virtual voice narration to do the same. Although there were a few hiccups with virtual voice, it did a decent job with this book. I saw another book by this author that I'll be listening to next. I Highly Recommend this book!

I loved the main characters!
