Walking out on his husband and fated mate is the hardest thing wolf shifter Sam Carver has ever done.

Detective Mark Buchan knows he's screwed things up with his husband, but he never expected Sam to leave. Now there's a killer targeting witches, and Mark is worried he's next. He needs Sam's help one last time.

Sam agrees, but only because if Mark dies, he'll pine away and die too. He hasn't forgiven Mark, and he won't forget. And the last thing he wants is to fall in love, again, with the man who broke his heart.

This time, Mark will do anything to prove to Sam that he's worth the trouble. Even surrendering his magic.

For listeners who like second chance romance and fated mates.

This is the one with PTSD that puts a terrible strain on the fated mate bond. It also ties all the other books together. It's a great story, too bad it's the worst narrator I've ever heard.
I've listened to the previous books, they were narrated by Matt Stephens. Matt Stephens is a MUCH better narrator. Casey McLeod is the narrator for book five, six and seven. I can't tell one character from another. He reads so slow you need to speed it up to 1.5 just to match a normal speech pattern. Casey McLeod needs to find another line of work, and TJ Nichols needs to get their money back. I'm going to return the next books and just have Alexa read it to me instead.

Terrible Narrator, good book
