I’m enjoying the book series very much. The narration is way too dramatic for my taste. But, I will continue listening to the full series.

There were times when the audio quality became poor. It was muffled sounding on occasion, but went back to normal quickly. Story and performance were great, though.

Cadfael must unravel the nuances of a young man's fevered dreams to determine what is troubling him. Family loyalties and Christian faith collide in this murder mystery featuring multiple family ties. You will not guess who is responsible. I guarantee it.

A fine family feud

Would you consider the audio edition of The Devil's Novice to be better than the print version?

I love reading this series and listening to the titles in it as well. Patrick Tull was an excellent narrator. I re-read and re-listen to them because I feel as if I am acquainted with the characters and the setting. One is medium is as good as the other.

Which character – as performed by Patrick Tull – was your favorite?

In addition to Brother Cadfael, Hugh Berringar is a real favorite as is Abbott Radulfus.
