Cast out from the only home she has ever known, Amelia Wilson is desperate to forge a path on her own. With nothing but false papers and a mysterious silver locket, she takes up a post as governess at Everleigh Manor. Can Amelia ignore the beating of her own heart when she meets the manor’s master, the charming Duke of Belvoir?

Julian Everleigh never wanted to be the Duke of Belvoir. Trained for the sea, not society, he finds himself drowning in debts and his father’s cryptic last words. When he meets the new governess his sister employed, emotion comes into play. Will Julian choose to let his guard down or keep true love at bay?

As Amelia and Julian grow closer amidst a web of deceit, both the past and the future are catching up with them. With stolen fortunes and family riddles threatening to tear their tender bond apart, they face the ultimate dilemma. Will they choose the safety of silence, or a love that could expose everything?

"The Duke's Runaway Cinderella" is a historical romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

I’ll never support taking work away from people out of convenience. Listening to this story might have been more enjoyable if it wasn’t for the computer trying to sound human, and failing, reading it. Also the author ought to have done more editing before releasing this title, as I’m sure not all mistakes were the robots fault. The story itself was ok, but a lot of feeling was lost without human inflections.
