Don’t miss this one

I remember reading a review on this series where the reviewer griped about the author drawing too much from her own life and well… DISAGREE!
This book was wonderful on so many different levels. The characters are fleshed out really well. There isn’t a giant neon sign that says “this person is wrong” (Except for Heaven, f*ck those guys lol). The cliffhangers are a TAD annoying but they are well done. The dialogue is.. *chefs kiss*. There are moments in the book where I had to put down to book bc I couldn’t stop laughing (all of them were bc of Fauna, she’s supremely funny to me and I love her). There’s a sense of realism in the book that I don’t know how to explain..
The only real gripe I have is that the structure at the beginning confused me bc I wasn’t expecting flashback chapters.
Go ahead and listen! It’s worth it! (To me)

I love this book and the whole concept of the story. Can’t wait for the next one to come out!

so easy to listen to!

How am I supposed to not want to scream after that ending! We definitely got more info and had some questions answered in this book, although the second half flew much faster for me and I will be reading the next book the second it releases! Luna Rey narrated this audio and she did an amazing job! It was so easy to listen to and follow along - her differentiations for characters were perfect and I am happy I chose to listen to this one.

I enjoyed it.

So I really enjoyed the book but the pace was kinda slow, in the sense that I just expected more to happen during this book. It’s definitely setting up for book 3, and I appreciate the cast of characters since I’m a huge fan of mythology.

Great imagery, fantastic storytelling! The character development is also fantastic; You never know where it’s going to go next.
