History + Mystery + Murder, Excellent

I really loved everything about this book EXCEPT the narration. It sounds like AI and the voice is very monotonous and the intonation goes up at the end of sentences in a predictable way that is very distracting and gives you the "ick". The voice also sounds bland when scary or emotional things happen, making me think it's an AI version of the narrator's voice, really not good and took away from the story. Is it AI?

That said, I loved the plot, I really had no idea who "done it" and there were a lot of fascinating historical tidbits woven in about ancient Egyptians practices. I really got invested in each character, they are all lovably quirky and unique in their own way. Oliver's books are always awesome and this one doesn't disappoint I just wish they would have picked a better narrator, Imagine if John Lee would have narrated this?!?!
