Story Come to Life

I’m a big fan of Mary Jane Wells. As a reader she is not only extremely pleasant to listen to she is also exceptional at bringing the various characters to life with distinct personalities and voices. I LOVE Chinook!!! The story is terribly romantic without being sappy. I loved it and hope to find more similar stories by Kathryn Trattner.

This was an amazing retelling and was extremely captivating! This is a great book for a long drive or flight!

Mary Jane Wells!

Mary Jane could read an HVAC manual and make it a thrilling read. This was an odyssey for certain. But I'd follow Chinook anywhere. Even though he can be a bit "rood!" at times. I love the cranky little fellow.

Great narrator

Ending seemed a bit rushed, would’ve loved more development of Tye but Astrid & Chinooks relationship & banter was excellent. Great story of the realization & sacrifices made for love and restoration. Good read overall.

too much description and internal thought

DNF.. it was just tedious sometimes with no where near enough dialogue. I reached Part 2 and still did not care one bit for the characters.
