So you died a horrific death in your own world? No problem! Maybe you are exactly what an dying old mage needs to resurrect the princely line of the Morozov family.

An old maniac sliced a couple of people to bits right before your eyes? Relax! Now he's your teacher, and he's going to guide you along through life.

What? You've actually seen real demons? Huge, ten-foot-tall monsters wielding axes? Take a chill pill! They appear pretty frequently in unexpected places all over the world and wreak destruction.

You want to go back? But don't you want to hear about the Wastelands? They're well-protected lands of magic inhabited by demons who pillage and plunder borderland cities . . .

You're going to stay away from them? Good luck. Just to let you know, your teacher is planning to go and live right next to one of them. For some reason he thinks that if you just learn to kill demons and undergo a series of dangerous tests, you can become a true master of your bloodline . . .

I enjoy the humanity infused into their stories. It's definitely still progression fantasy, and it follows a lot of the tropes ...but even still it stands apart because of the depth of story-telling.

Really well done!!!
Highly recommend checking this one out.

Its a solid Russian progression fantasy, it's what you expect from Russian author competent MC with a mix of combat and politics

awesome

i avoided this book for a while because i thought that a book with a 10 year old as the MC would be either childish ...or creepy, due to the full grown man's mind in his body. My concerns were misplaced; the author makes it work.

Otherwise, the MC is powerful enough to be satisfying, with room for growth before he becomes completely OP. My only complaint is the stereotypical master/student relationship; where the "master" is on a constant power trip. in this case the "master" has an added dose of paranoia and crazy-old-man-i-dont-give-an-F cruelty. This is at least acknowledged and somewhat explained at some point,

Not a Kid's Story

This book is different, and very enjoyable i really like where it has started, and cant wait tonsee where it ends. The voice acting is good but it needs speed up just alittle. Is my only complaint.

A very unique story, very enjoyable!

Book starts out great and interesting, story is engaging. I just didnt like the age of the mc, he's like a ten year old. But the plot is dark so i guess that follows. Lots of action. Got his ass kicked by those noble teens and didnt do much about it, is the thing i didnt really like about it. Other than that good book and world building with the characters, im interested in finding out more on what the mc's family will be doing. This book has some interesting antagonists.

Kinda crazy with the young protagonist.
