In The Innocent Killer, Michael Griesbach tells the story of one of the nation's most notorious wrongful convictions, that of Steven Avery, a Wisconsin man who spent 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. But two years after he was exonerated of that crime and poised to reap millions in his wrongful conviction lawsuit, Steven Avery was arrested for the exceptionally brutal murder of Teresa Halbach, a freelance photographer who had gone missing several days earlier. The "innocent man" had turned into a cold-blooded killer. Or had he?

This book gives a very good storyline of all that has happened in all of the case history of Avery and many of the injustices done. It leaves the decision of this last case up to the reader after all case history is brought forward.

great book

A very interesting case! Although the story itself along with all the pieces of the puzzle are intriguing the pace of the book is rather inconsistent making it at times a frustrating read. The author beats many cases to death while doesn't go into near enough detail for others. Still a good story if you have the time.

Interesting Plot, Could have been a little better
