After a long journey to Saturn’s moon Enceladus, spaceship ILSE is on its way back to Earth, carrying crucial cargo. The crew is exhausted and wants nothing more than a quick return home. Suddenly, a chain of malfunctions puts the expedition in peril.

The difficulties appear to be related to planet Jupiter, whose orbit they are crossing. Is it the giant planet itself that won’t let these travelers pass? ILSE’s crew is heading toward catastrophe as an unknown power is forging plans designed to influence the future of human civilization.

Horrible narration

Very good story. I would read and recommend the book...the audiobook though is a BIG NO 👎

Audio Book Audio Level Unsatisfactory

I found the book quite satisfactory overall but the audiobook volume level is very weak. I did note some repeated words and long pauses but they weren’t really an issue overall, just momentary distractions.

The low volume level was a real problem for listening to the book in anything other than quiet environments. Testing for comparison, I switched between other audiobooks in my library and other apps outside of Audible and the volume was normal. Every time I went back to this book however the volume was quite low again even at the highest setting on my iPhone.

Horrible narrator sounds like a robot from 1982

I was looking forward to the conclusion of the series horrible narration ruined it. I don’t understand how this is an acceptable performance.

Gave it a good try, but had to bail

The story was interesting and kept my interest, but the narrator was unbearable. Bad cadence, rhythm, and emphasis made this book unlistenable. Disappointed 😞

Terrible naration

Narration was very robotic and words were mispronounced. There are also duplicate sentences and long pauses of no sound early in the recording. I listened only because I don't have time to read the book and enjoy the series and author.
