It appears to be a tragic accident until a worried mother turns up at the scene of the accident. Her daughter, Rhiannon, a friend of the joyriders, hasn't been seen since the previous night. The account dovetails with the statement of the householder who claimed to see a girl running near the crashed vehicle the moment he emerged.

Was Rhiannon in the car with her friends when it crashed, and if she was, why did she flee? And where is she now?

Absorbing story

Drew me in from the start either layer upon layer of mystery- all well integrated. Loved it!

Unlike his other books. Not much of a story line.

I finished the book because I had paid for it. But it really wasn’t very interesting. More like just watching a police investigation without much of a story. His other books are more interesting.

excruciatingly painful dig through all the seemingly valid conclusions blocked at every turn. Perfect narrator

had to stop listening because of the yelling narrator!

nearly had a heart attack at one point when the narrator yelled suddenly. if I lower the volume then I cannot hear when she is talking instead of yelling.
