What made the experience of listening to The Lieutenants the most enjoyable?

It easily and interestingly relates to real life in the military. Not a "thrill" to be found.
"Thrillers" are boring and stupidly implausible.

A good book with a good feel! You will want to read the rest if the series.

Excellent historical fiction

Excellent story. The narrator was good but unfamiliar with most German pronunciation. All in all, a great read.

Well developed characters and storyline is great

There was nothing I disliked - highly recommend to any officer or military enthusiast who appreciates a good read.

Such a fun epic tale. Great characters, a tumbling interwoven story with lots of interesting plots.
