A Real Pleasure

A gentle yet very persuasive rendering of the nature of falling in love. Made all the more compelling because the characterises abided by the mores of their time. It was also a rather deft feint on the power of faith and kindness.

GREAT STORY. SUPERB NARRATION.

Ms Walker and Ms Wall - a perfect pairing of author and narrator!! The intensity and suspense between characters drives the story. A beautiful love story with an surprise ending.
I just found writings by Ms Walker. This is the 2nd book I've read of hers. Looking for more.

Completely wonderful completely unique and hardly anything resembling the original beauty and the beast. Wonderful story and very imaginative characters ready with great artistry.

Great story, too many similar names

Very confusing when names were similar. Great story and narration, though. I love her books!

Excellent Read

I don't care for explicit romance, having acquired a taste for meaningful love that can be found in books like Pride & Prejudice, and I would count this book among them. It's a simple read, with a female lead who learns to overcome her misgivings, and a male lead who is full of mysteries. It has its faults, like any other book, but the read was overall enjoyable.
