The people of the principality of Liechtenstein have long wished for independence, but the Empire has always had its own plans for the country. The neighboring states, meanwhile, have kept a constant eye on the principality, as if it were their own property.

What's more, the internal conflicts between the country's aristocrats have shown no sign of abating. Was it really a good idea to stir up this hornets' nest? Well . . . they only have themselves to blame!

Its the best in the series so far. No complaints. Everythings coming together. All in all a great book.

Best in series

Always love the story and pace of the book, but I do feel it is a bit short. I wish it were longer with more city-building.

Love it

glad to see some plot points move and the joy I get from the mc and his student/ward / possible love interest brightens my day lol. glad to see someone finally pushed his hand a bit. he dances around being too secretive at times. I get trying to stay low key but he has taken it to a new level. but please Oleg If your reading this review! Our MC desperately needs to broaden his scope. I think he leaves too much background story untouched and ignored because of his arrogance. he can easily send golems to monitor his enemies. he could ask his men to look into what his parents are doing. it's incredibly stupid for someone who is supposedly so smart and was so powerful in his last world to not try and investigate his enemies. now our MC is facing the ruler of the province and not even taking any sort of time to make sure he's not about to roll over him with 50,000 army men. it's so dumb, please let's get some more info being brought into the overall story. it will only broaden it's fun!

Great step forward

I enjoyed listening to book 5 and I enjoyed the previous books. However, the author makes the main character way too overpowered and makes all of his enemies complete imbeciles. It’s like a 13 year old boy wrote the entire series.

Fun but juvenile
