I had not heard of this story before seeing this in the Plus catalog and had to listen. If you are familiar with the author, you can guess the twist at the end of the story. A lonely soul cannot bear to be alone any longer and leaves the dwelling. It is beautifully narrated. I would love to see the HP Lovecraft Historical Society do a Dark Adventure Radio Theater version of this story.
