THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

An addictive psychological thriller about a group of women whose lives become unexpectedly connected when one of their newborns goes missing.

A night out. A few hours of fun. That’s all it was meant to be.

They call themselves the May Mothers—a group of new moms whose babies were born in the same month. Twice a week, they get together in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park for some much-needed adult time.

When the women go out for drinks at the hip neighborhood bar, they are looking for a fun break from their daily routine. But on this hot Fourth of July night, something goes terrifyingly wrong: one of the babies is taken from his crib. Winnie, a single mom, was reluctant to leave six-week-old Midas with a babysitter, but her fellow May Mothers insisted everything would be fine. Now he is missing. What follows is a heart-pounding race to find Midas, during which secrets are exposed, marriages are tested, and friendships are destroyed.

Thirteen days. An unexpected twist. The Perfect Mother is a ""true page turner."" —B.A. Paris, author of Behind Closed Doors

As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother I’ve never known a perfect mother. Every child is different so you do have to make adjustments.

This book is rather confusing. The mother’s stories are scattered and rather “jerky”. Even at the end I still had questions. But I did enjoy listening while I went about my day. I did have to rewind several times.

I bought this on sale so I have no complaints.

I liked it

This story was confusing for me a lot of the time . it must be the way that the book is written. You never know who was talking and there were several characters. But, it was a good story.

confusing but good

Very well written. I did have a hard time with the first few chapters, but once I had time i finished the book in one seating. I listened to it on an audiobook. The story was told from different characters. It really showed the story as a whole since everyone had a piece of it. Love the determination of Francis (hopefully spelled her name right). She seemed not to have an important role in the story and I thought she was a bit obsessive. I don't want to give too much away. The story was intertwine and detailed.

Very good twist
