Someone is killing therapists across the north east. Now, he wants to talk to you about his problems…

Dr. Lauren Beckinsale had the perfect practice in a small town in upstate New York. It was safe, predictable, and under control.

Until she met a man for drinks in nearby Saratoga Springs, and he disappeared without a trace.

Now she has a new patient, Rick Stanton, a traveling musician, army veteran, traumatized loner who was at the same bar the night her date disappeared .

Then Lauren discovers Rick's previous therapist died soon after treating him... and it dawns on her that she's entered a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with a new patient with a habit killing his therapists.

Is she his perfect therapist... or his perfect victim?

The police won't listen. Her friends think she's paranoid.

Haunted by nightmares and flashbacks to her own traumatic past, Lauren must use all her psychological training to get inside his mind and work out who he really is.

Some patients you try to cure. Some, you just try to survive.

THE PERFECT THERAPIST: A bone-chilling psychological thriller about the lies people tell.

I did not finish this book because you couldn’t understand it with the AI reader. Bummer because I wanted to know what happened but I was so lost due to the reader

I was so lost after the first half because of the ai reader.

The constant lack of emotion in the dialogue is distracting, and it constantly mispronounced words.

Just say no to computer generated narrators!

The AI narration is atrocious and pretty much ruins the book. Difficult to tell when narration is switching between characters and many words are mispronounced.

Narration ruins it

The virtual voice reading did not help this book at all. Probably made it harder to listen to but I decided to listen all the way through. The story itself was pretty good but it was not pieced together at all. No smooth transitions, confusing parts, and even some not sure where they came from. The twists were good, just wish it was better put together

All over the place
