For over a century, the town of Gossamer Grove has thrived on its charm and midwestern values, but Annalise Forsythe knows painful secrets, including her own, hover just beneath the pleasant facade. When a man is found dead in his run-down trailer home, Annalise inherits the trailer, along with the pictures, vintage obituaries, and old revival posters covering its walls. As she sorts through the collection, she's wholly unprepared for the ramifications of the dark and deadly secrets she'll uncover.

A century earlier, Gossamer Grove has been stirred into chaos by the arrival of controversial and charismatic twin revivalists. The chaos takes a murderous turn when Libby Sheffield, working at her father's newspaper, receives an obituary for a reputable church deacon hours before his death. As she works with the deacon's son to unravel the mystery behind the crime, it becomes undeniably clear that a reckoning has come to town - but it isn't until another obituary arrives that they realize the true depths of the danger they've waded into.

Two women, separated by a hundred years, must uncover the secrets within the borders of their own town before it's too late and they lose their future - or their very souls.

Wonderful, engaging story spanning two different time periods that unfolds the importance of honesty, dropping stones of judgement and embracing grace. Excellent narration.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story and the narration! I like how the story unfolds piece by piece for the two different time periods and I was surprised by the ending.

Enjoyable

I loved this book. It's been hard trying to find books that are Christian but, also not like listening to a really long sermon. This is the number one book I would recommend for someone looking for a good Christian book that's full of action, romance, and adventure. I had a hard time turning this book off at night it was so good one time I was up until 1:30a.m. just listening to this book. only reason this isn't a five star is that I wish that the author wrote more in Libby's story.

amazing

This is the very first Jaime Jo Wright book I have had the pleasure of reading. It won't be my last! I loved the balance of the split time storylines. I was equally invested in both and curious as to how they would connect. The twists, surprises, and chilling secrets all weaved together is impressive and indicative of a skilled storyteller. The suspense and mystery are only heightened by the faith element as grace plays out in the lives of the characters, sometimes in an unexpected way. I was guessing about the villain(s) until the very last chapters! I love it when a plot can surprise me :)

I very much enjoyed the audiobook version of this book, too. I think suspense is my new fav genre to "listen" to!

Riveting split time romantic suspense!

This one kept me on my toes. Storyline was fantastic. Had a slight inkling, but was almost to the end before I figured out the killer. For Annalise, not so much.

Wow
