Slow start but a good read

I almost stopped listening but glad I didnt. It turned out to be a good story

beautifully written with wonderful characters and villains. I could stop listening!!! multiple storyline and beautiful descriptions of scenes.

Awful

This story was so slow in the beginning. I actually kept falling asleep and having to restart. Then it all turned stupid as the storyline started to pick up. The characters are all conniving jerks or whiny and dumb. I almost DNF but made myself complete by listening on fast speed and skipping ahead minutes at a time. I’m just relieved I bought this book as part of a 2 for 1 sale and the other book is actually the one I want and that one’s actually good. I will NOT be listening to this one again.

Have started the book 5 times an halfway through chapter one and am so bored

I love this author BUT is she losing her ability, this is so boring I keep falling asleep -normally I can’t put her books down- plus the woman reading it puts expression into parts that don’t need it- probably to try and make it sound more interesting. For anyone who likes this book- you should read her others to know what she is really capable of- you will be blown away. Her books are not cheap either but I guess I will just have to eat the cost.
