At just twenty years old, Lauren Bailey is organized, responsible, and hyper-driven toward her goal of graduating college so she can provide a good life for her daughter, four year old Harper. Between school, work, and being the best long-distance mom she can be, there’s one thing she definitely doesn’t have time for: Trouble.

Trouble, meaning men.

She’s watched her older sister go through a Lifetime movie’s worth of drama involving the opposite sex, and she’s not interested in that level of distraction.

Until Ty.

Smart, sexy, and successfully navigating the line between responsible and fun, Ty opens Lauren’s mind to a world beyond the strict walls she’s built. But stepping out sometimes means losing control, and straight-laced Lauren may not be ready for that.

Ex-lovers, meddling mothers, and new experiences collide as Lauren takes a journey to figure out if there’s any such thing as the “right” kind of trouble.

the story line was ok but it was too long and drawn out . So I kept having to stop reading and go back.

When I found out that there was a story for Lauren, I was excited and curious. This did not disappoint.

I will say this story frustrated me a little with everyone's hand in these two adult relationship and it had nothing to do with what was most important like Harper (the child) or them being in school trying to graduate. The only people who were good was Mina, Anthony, Lauren's Dad, Bianca, and Ty's siblings.

I feel that Lauren needed Ty to break her from her norm and trust in the peace and safety of him. Ty needed Lauren so he could trust and speak his truth and stand firm once and for all. Did they have communication issues, yes. Did they eventually figure it out? Yep.

This is my first story I have listened to narrated but Madison and I enjoyed her voice very much. Our boy Nate is back and he never misses. They brought the words to life. They did pretty good with the dual but there was some spaces where there were tiny gaps in responding. Not enough to hate it though.

Lauren & Ty had their share of responsibilities and 'struggle'...Lauren's struggle was balancing motherhood and finishing college while having a semblance of a life. Ty's struggle was getting him mom straight on her antics and finding what was true for him. His demeanor and dedication was just what Lauren needed. Cute story although I wanted a bit more spice. CCJ does not disappoint

This is my second favorite from this series. I appreciate that Cinderella was a theme throughout the story, but her constant fleeing did annoy me a bit. But I love a story where the man is sure. Tye was certain... from the start. Chile...there was a lot of haunching in this book...I mean A LOT!!!
