She had to fall through time to find the perfect guy...

After a humiliating incident at work, brilliant but socially awkward geologist Harper Ross finds herself exiled to the remote Hebridean Islands. But when she discovers a weathered leather map case hidden among ancient stones and traces its mysterious coastline with her fingertips, lightning splits the sky and hurls her back through time to 1745 Scotland.

Right into the arms of rebellion...

Alone, desperate, and dressed in scandalous modern clothes, Harper's dire situation becomes downright dangerous when she crashes into William MacGregor. Six feet of pure Highland warrior with storm-gray eyes, a devastating smile, and shoulders that could carry the weight of Scotland itself. When he mistakes her for a British spy, Harper finds herself his captive.

William MacGregor has dedicated his life to the Jacobite cause, going wherever he was needed. But this fierce Highland scout with a reputation for breaking hearts finds his legendary control shattered by one enigmatic woman who seems to understand the very soul of the land. As Harper's uncanny knowledge of hidden harbors and secret passages proves invaluable, William realizes his beautiful prisoner might be the key to victory, and to claiming his guarded heart.

And a history that's already set in stone... or is it?

But Harper knows exactly what's coming. The intoxicating victory at Prestonpans that will make William believe they can win, followed by the crushing defeat at Culloden that will destroy everything he loves. Every stolen kiss, every whispered promise, every heartbeat is shadowed by the knowledge that she's falling for a man whose world is doomed.

Now she faces the ultimate choice. Return to her safe, lonely life in the future, or stay and risk everything. Her heart, her soul, and the course of history itself to save the Highland warrior she can't live without.

Because sometimes love is worth defying time itself...

A sweeping time travel romance that will leave you breathless, set against the dramatic backdrop of Scotland’s most legendary rebellion.

I found this book enchanting. it was the first book I've listened to with virtual voice, and personally enjoyed it as much as live readers. I loved the characters and enjoyed the history the book shared. this was the first book I've listened to by this author, but look forward to listening to more!

I couldn't put it down

The story was entertaining but I had a problem with the whisper sync reading male lines and using female voices as well as reading female lines using a male voice. Would be nice if they would listen to it before they published it.

AI reader needs to be proofread before publishing.

It was only the story that kept me engaged with such a disgraceful and disheartening narration. Men’s voices were women’s- women’s voices for men - didn’t anyone preview this thing before it was released!!?? AI is never going to replace a narrator and this was such a glaring horrific example of that fact. Why would the author put so much into a book and then do this or let this be done? I’m just disappointed I suppose .

Magical & Wonderful Story!
