Everyone speculates, Wickham resurfaces, eager to extract further advantages from the Darcy family, while the principal characters are driven by their wish to uncover the secret upon which Elizabeth and Darcy’s future happiness depends. Could this secret be a disreputable tale that only serves to deepen Darcy’s scorn for the Bennet family, with whom the Gardiners—and, by extension, Mrs Wilson—are so closely entwined?
Miss Darcy plays a pivotal role in The Secret of Pemberley, as the narrative frequently returns to the Darcy family home, offering a poignant point of view on Darcy’s decision to propose to Elizabeth and the heart-wrenching anguish he endures following her refusal.

Distraught by the circumstances involving Mrs Wilson, Darcy resolves never to see Elizabeth again, while she, in turn, comes to the devastating realisation that she has rejected the man she truly loves.
Yet, as ever, love triumphs, and the story’s conclusion rightly returns to our dear couple and their love, which always prevails, offering a satisfying end to their tumultuous journey.

Nice story and plot

ODC felt somehow younger, emotionally and verbally ( or maybe a bit more immature as their age is within canon) but it was a fun read and an interesting twist. VV didn't bother me

A Darcy Family Secret

What is the connection between Mrs Gardiner and her mother, Mrs Wilson, to the Darcy family?

Darcy is falling for Elizabeth against his better judgment at the same time he is learning some unpalatable truths about his father. He doesn’t want to accept either situation and so he runs from both. His sister, Georgiana, will know the truth no matter the outcome to the Darcys and pursues it with the help of the colonel and Elizabeth.

Even though I am not the greatest fan of virtual voice I liked having a dual male and female voice doing the narration. I appreciate also that virtual voice makes these books better available price wise for those of us who really enjoy them.
