A chilling thriller brought back to life with enhanced audio, featuring new narration by Hillary Huber.

“Koontz is brilliant.” - Chicago Sun-Times

An ordinary parking lot in southern California. Christine Scavello and her six-year-old son are accosted by a strange old woman.

"I know who you are," the woman snaps at the boy. "I know what you are."

A scream, a threat - and then a grotesque act of violence. Suddenly Christine's pride and joy, her only son, is targeted by a group of religious fanatics. They've branded him the Antichrist. They want to kill him. And they are everywhere...

I’m a big fan of Dean but this book is not like his usual plots and I did not like the ending at all. The main protagonist is supposed to be a private security firm owner but when he goes on the run he uses his credit card and then wonders how the bad guys are tracking him. The ending was telegraphed so no surprises there. If this was the first Koontz novel I read it would be my last.

Not what I expected from a Koontz novel

Not my favorite.

A little long. It did hold my attention even if the story was long. Had to maintain a vivid imagination

I didn't dislike the book, but I have enjoyed other Koontz much more. I love solid endings, and this one left me wondering. Maybe there is a sequel, but I haven't found it yet.

I read this one when it came out. Enjoyed it being read to me just as much when I read it back then.

You can't miss with a Dean Koontz book.
