I was struck by this gorgeous cover. The story sounded intriguing and by an author I've never read but heard of. And it was good, well written. But I'll need to let this story settle in before I decide to continue to the 2nd book when it comes out. Ive gotten into epic SFF books and this didn't seem "epic" enough for me, perhaps a bit YA (which has fallen out of favor for me lately). Narration of the audiobook was good though.
