Welcome to Angel Hill, Missouri, a town that shot blood from the ground at its own groundbreaking. Jack doesn't want to believe his own eyes, but for Liz the threat is all too real, and it's closing in. From the invisible shapes under the sheets, the eyes she feels on her constantly, and the banging coming from the third floor - is that something trying to get in? Or something wanting out? A very tame horror story

This is a decent horror story but definitely on the tame side. What I mean is, it will entertain you, but probably not keep you up at night or have you checking under the bed.

I’ve read more than twenty works from author C. Dennis Moore. Well written & enjoyable I always look forward to the next book from him. Read his books and get into a good author and some amazing characters & stories as I have. Narrator Gary Tiedman’s voice was perfect for this book and added greatly to the listening enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I’ll have to get more books in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Well told. Really creepy, but not heavy-handed. The creepiest parts are when the family isn't quite sure what's going on. One of my favorite parts about this book is Moore's inspiration. He writes that this story is based on experiences he had in one of his childhood homes. Sure, this is fiction and obviously fleshed out to be a complete haunted house story, but thinking about some of the things that Joey (the child) saw and heard as coming from the author's memory gives this an added level of fright for the reader.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Third Floor to be better than the print version?

For sure. As you can better picture it with the narrators change in voice for each person in the book. Makes it more realistic.

What about Gary Tiedemann’s performance did you like?

He did an amazing job, I will be buying more audible books that are read by him.

If you are looking for a ghost story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this is the one. I cannot believe that this book got negitive reviews as it is the best ghost story I have got from Audible yet. It will give you shivers and make you jumpy but it is soooooo worth it! If you are looking for a horror novel, and want to listen to a great ghost story this is the book!!! Soooo Intense!!!!
